COMPLETE YOUR PROFICIENCY TRAINING

If you want to own a firearm, you must complete the firearm training at an accredited institution and receive a training proficiency certificate.

If you wish to do the training through our Training facilities you may simply click on our Proficiency training tab to place your order, all training provided will take place our Roodepoort ( Florida ) Johannesburg facilities!

You will have to complete all the open book exam in your own time including all questionnaire and information pages.

Once you have completed your home study, you need to contact us to make a booking to finalize your training. This includes a classroom lesson, dry fire, completing a closed book exam and a practical shoot.

Please bring 2 certified copies of your ID plus a black pen on the day of your Training.

When you have completed you training, you`re certificate will be issued as well as your PFTC statement of results.

After you have received your competency certificate, you can apply for the firearm licence at your local police station. You need to purchase a firearm first before applying. You would have to ask the dealership to produce the application forms (SAPS271). Please make sure the dealership provides a SAPS 350 a with your application form. 

• Two certified copies of your ID.
• Two certified copies of your Training Certificate with your statement of results.
• A copy of your Competency Certificate.
• Proof of address i.e. water/lights/Telkom bill.
• Motivation ( Must motivate why you need the firearm ). 
• Applying for a section 15 license, a letter from a farmer must be give or the sports club must be provided for confirmation and the endorsement letter for the firearm.
• Should you apply for a section 16 licenses, the club you are a part of must provide the confirmation letter, club card, certificate and an endorsement letter.
• 1 set of ID-size colour photos (2 per application).
• Two pictures/photos of your safe inside and out showing it is secured to a fixed wall/floor.
• A Police Clearance Certificate must be given should you have had any charges.
• Everything you state in your application must be proven.
• The responsibility to hand in your application is yours. Fingerprints and interviews will take place at your local police station.
• Cash must be brought with to your local police station in order to pay for the license application.
